The Safe Climate Fund (SCF) is a targeted donor pathway for initiating and accelerating strategic efforts that engage community in reversing climate change at emergency speed.

What Do We Do?

It is a direct avenue for individuals and organisations to donate to initiatives that are taking tactical steps beyond the scope of most climate action and advocacy efforts.

Why Are We Doing It?

The Fund was established in recognition of the world’s perilous position, facing major ecological and humanitarian tipping points that are on track to manifest in the immediate future. If there is hope of averting further ecological and social devastation, the need for a rapid transition to a safe climate economy has never been more urgent. The purpose of SCF is to help break through the barriers that are currently blocking this level of response.

How Is It Different?

At present, there is a large degree of inconsistency between the known extent of the threats and risks posed by climate change and the measure of action sought by the majority of climate advocacy efforts. The Safe Climate Fund works to address this disparity by supporting projects and initiatives that accept the evidence that climate impacts represent emergency-level threat to national, global and human security and advocate or implement mitigation and risk management strategies that are proportionate to the scale and speed of the threat.
