Climate Summit 2011

April 9-11, 2011

The national Community Climate Network will be holding its third summit for grassroots climate action groups and activists to share information and coordinate actions to build the community movement for real action on climate change.

The 2011 summit will be held in Melbourne.

The new summit website is now up here and the draft program is available here.

The program features discussions on the Saturday and Sunday, with plenary sessions on
  • Bridging the gap between climate science and politics; and
  • Carbon pricing and national politics in 2011
and a wide range of campaign and workshop sessions. There are still places open for more workshops and campaign presentations, so if you have something to share with Australia's grassroots climate movement, get your workshop proposal in!

On the Monday, participants will come together in an inspiring action in the Melbourne CBD, and in the afternoon, will be invited to attend a presentation of the outcomes of the summit to the CANA (Climate Action Network of Australia) conference that will follow the summit.
